What do you actually do in Muslim Pro?

 

 

The Marketing and PR team at Muslim Pro strategises how the brand positions and communicates its ethos and vision — which is to inspire and empower the global Muslim community through tech. Beyond that, we also manage the brand’s various social media and other communications platforms to ensure and sustain quality engagement with our Muslim community, globally. We want to know YOU, our Muslim community better, and you should know us too!

 

 

How big (or small) is the team?

 

 

We are a pretty small team specialising in different aspects of communications – digital marketing, PR and media relations and many more. The size of our team is not, by any means, a measure of the significance of our work! There is a Malay saying “kecil-kecil cili api” and it means that someone might be small but powerful; and that’s what we are. We may be a small team, but we are a force to be reckoned with!

 

 

What does it take to be part of the team?

 

 

We are not going to lie and say that passion and spirit are things that we look out for in people at the very core. There needs to be a good balance between hard skills and soft skills. However, we do know that what binds us all together is the conviction and our unwavering sense of purpose to serve the global Muslim community. And with that, everything else comes naturally — curiosity, creativity, sense of adventure. It all begins with the right attitude!

 

 

We are also expanding rapidly and always on the hunt for talents to join our growing team.

The most rewarding part of the job?

 

 

We are constantly innovating the way we do things to ensure that the global Muslim community benefits from what we put out into the world. So, no one day is ever the same and that’s what keeps us excited. Most importantly, it is when we see our work inspire and being appreciated by Muslims all over the world, that gives us the best satisfaction.

 

 

Choose one: Marvel or DC superheroes? And, why?

 

 

Marvel superheroes hands down! I grew up watching the X-Men animated series with that iconic intro. Aside from their powers being way cooler (and has its limitations unlike *ahem* Superman), the narrative is much more poignant — mutants (superheroes) in constant battle against societal injustice and prejudice while balancing their humanity and responsibility over humans — the perpetrators!
