The Prophet would make the following supplication before he would commence on a journey,

Narrated AbuHurayrah:

When the Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) proceeded on journey, he would say: O Allah, Thou art the Companion in the journey, and the One Who looks after the family; O Allah, I seek refuge in Thee from the difficulty of travelling, finding harm when I return, and unhappiness in what I see coming to my family and property. O Allah, make the length of his journey short for us, and the journey easy for us.

[Sunan Abi Dawud 2598]

2. Combined Prayers

Narrated Ibn `Abbas:

Allah’s Messenger (ﷺ) used to offer the Zuhr and `Asr prayers together on journeys, and also used to offer the Maghrib and `Isha’ prayers together. Narrated Anas bin Malik: The Prophet (ﷺ) used to offer the Maghrib and the `Isha’ prayers together on journeys.

[Sahih al-Bukhari 1107]

3. Tayammum

It was narrated that ‘Ammar bin Yasir said:

“I became Junub while I was on a camel and I could not find any water, so I rolled in the dust like an animal. I came to the Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) and told him about that, and he said: ‘Tayammum would have been sufficient for you.’”

[Sunan an-Nasa’i 313]

Tayammum is a purification ritual or act of performing wudu with clean earth in the absence of clean water.

It was narrated that ‘Ammar bin Yasir said:

“We did Tayammum with the Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) using dust, and we wiped our faces and our arms up to the shoulders.”

[Sunan an-Nasa’i 315]

4. Essentials to Carry

Aisha said, ‘Rasulullah ﷺ never left five things, whether he was on travel or at home; a mirror, antimony [kohl], a comb, a stick/metal comb [used for scratching] and a miswak.’

(Disclaimer: Imam Tabarani and Hafiz Khatib Al Baghdadi have recorded this narration (Al Mu’jamul Awsat, Hadith: 5238. Refer: Fathul Bari, Hadith: 5924) Despite one narrator of this chain being declared weak, the narration is corroborated. The narration is therefore acceptable and may be quoted.)
